Some might say we were crazy to have gone out that evening. Our Oaxacan friends certainly would say that. I suspect even our die-hard Cleveland friends and family might have questioned our sanity. But sometimes you have to be crazy in love. So while my teeth chattered, my toes grew numb, my husband stomped his feet back to life, and both our nose.

This world is broken and in need of healing. To be honest, it can be overwhelming, paralyzing, and hopeless to feel so out of control. It is true there are so many things I would like to change; many are out of my control. However, I can control me. I can begin to make the world a little better by starting with me.
